In June 2011 the European UP/VE Resin Association (a Cefic Sector Group) released the updated versions of the Safe Handling Guides. The 14 Safe Handling Guides address key health, safety and environmental issues associated with the storage and processing of raw materials in the UP/VE resin industry.
 
The objective of the Handling Guides is to communicate best practices of safe handling of UP/VE resins within the Composites manufacturing value chain towards a cleaner and safer polyester workshop. The Guides are provide specific information on aspects such as safe handling of materials used in composites production, storage of UP/VE resins, exposure monitoring, workplace ventilation, protective equipment and EU legislation relevant to the sector. 
 
The Safe Handling Guides are available in 6 languages (EN – DE – ES - FR – IT- PL).
