With so much happening it’s easy to decline that meeting invitation, or not go to an event, but does that mean you’re missing out on more than you realise?
Our annual conference takes place on 11th May 2016 at the University of Manchester. Each year we address the latest topics of conversation in the composites industry – the opportunities and the challenges – helping to strengthen the UK supply chain even further.
1. Keep ahead of the crowd with leading industry information.
Topics covered include ‘Opportunities for the UK in the Global Market’; ‘Delivering, Developing and Diversifying the UK Supply Chain’; ‘Leading the Way in Composites Manufacturing – Key Results from Cross-Industry Programmes’; and ‘Breaching New Markets’.
Can you afford to miss it?
2. Get your company seen
Having your employees attend events gets your name out there as it’ll be seen on delegate lists at and after the conference. You can also ‘supersize’ your presence through sponsorship and show the rest of industry how we’ll you’re doing and that you’re the go-to company.
3. It’s not what you know…
…it’s who you know. When asked, our members say that networking is the number one reason for joining the Association and the Annual Conference is a great opportunity to get out there and make key new contacts. Attended by managing directors, commercial staff, business development managers and more these are the likeminded people spearheading the industry waiting to meet you.
4. The launch of the new UK Composites Strategy
The Composites Leadership Forum will be officially launching the brand new UK Composites Strategy at the event. The strategy builds on the success of that published in the 2009 document and will ensure that the UK maintains its position as one of the world’s leading places for the research and commercial exploitation of composites materials and processes. Each delegate will be given an shiny newly printed copy.
5. Meet the exhibitors
Our annual conference is always complemented with a small table-top exhibition area where suppliers and support organisations are on hand to speak to you about your requirements. This year we have the likes of Easyfairs (the organisers of the Composites Engineering Show), and Composites in Manufacturing Magazine along with member companies Henniker Plasma, Hexion UK, National Composites Centre, Prea, Testo and Wessex Resins.
There’s a few delegate places still remaining but hurry – the ‘big day’ is only two weeks away. The event is priced at £185 + VAT for Composites UK members and £275 + VAT for non-members. Discounts available for members of IMechE, National Composites Centre and GTMA.
