Amy Furzeland, Account Executive at Aro PR and Marketing, a specialist agency for composites, engineering and scientific companies, has been named by the PRCA Dare Awards as their Rising Star of the Year for the South West of England.
Joining Aro in 2018, after graduating with a 2:1 in English Literature, without any PR or marketing knowledge, Amy worked tirelessly to improve her skills and knowledge, attending professional seminars across the UK, and being mentored by a team of experienced colleagues. After months of training, Amy has now also completed and diploma in digital marketing.
Billy McKenna, Aro PR and Marketing’s Managing Director says; “Amy is a real asset to the team and continues to work hard and deliver for our clients. She has come a long way over the past two years at Aro and I look forward to seeing her career continue to progress.”
Throughout the coronavirus crisis, Amy has been providing digital marketing seminars to companies both in the UK and internationally to explore the opportunities of the ever-changing digital world. This has received great feedback from attendees who are now marketing their technical capabilities more intensively, and often in new industry sectors.
Amy Furzeland says; “I feel very proud of this award. A lot of hard work has been put in getting here; from the moment I started my PR journey to now. I learn something new every day and being in such a varied and fast paced industry means no day is ever dull. I have had great support from my colleagues who have guided me from day one.”
Amy’s skills and consistent commitment to the PR industry did not go unmissed by the judges.
PRCA Director General Francis Ingham MPRCA says, “There’s so much great talent coming through the South-West region and it was on show in this year’s PRCA DARE Awards’ Rising Star of the Year category. Congratulations to Aro PR and Marketing’s Amy Furzeland for beating a very competitive field. A stellar career has clearly begun”
