ReDisCoveR is a High Value Manufacturing Catapult (HVMC) Large Transformational Project (LTP) looking to combine the expertise of the HVMC centres to work towards building a community around the major challenges faced by composites at end of life. The objective of ReDisCoveR is to transform the UK’s world leading composites end of life academic and commercially capabilities into a fully functioning and interconnected supply chain as the fledgling market expands exponentially.
To date, the team has interrogated roadmaps and strategies from a wide range of sectors and across all areas of the supply chain to determine the current landscape, the perceived gaps, and the largest opportunities. Following this activity, the team is now contacting key industry participants within the composites supply chain to gain feedback on these findings, and to discuss opportunities for collaboration. During the coming months, the next steps for ReDisCoveR include invitation for further collaboration by way of consortia building and programme concept derivation with the aim of application for Industrial Strategy Challenge Funded programmes or similar.
The ReDisCoveR project team welcome the opportunity to discuss this opportunity with you, and would love to hear your feedback on the challenges you’re facing and the areas you think are in need of development. Contact Ghayth Abed (AMRC) and/or Leah Rider (NCC).
