The JEC Innovation Awards are the most prestigious in the world of composite technologies and on Wednesday 13th March 2019 Cecence brought the award home for a UK innovation with an entirely UK based supply chain.
The Innovation Award is a huge achievement for Cecence as a young company, and a testament to the UK’s reputation as world leading innovators who are challenging the global giants of the industry.
Cecence are an AS9100 Rev D company, known for problem solving and composite engineering solutions, and the development and manufacture of next generation FST compliant aerospace interior components.
The delivery of a fully FST compliant carbon fibre lightweight aerospace seat back was something that the composites industry had struggled to achieve in serial production and Cecence found a solution - to date over 3,000 Airbus line-fit approved, in service seat backs have been delivered by the Wilts/Hants based company.
The company are currently engaged on a series of development projects to enable the use of sustainable materials for the next generation aero interior components, using recycled materials and bio resins.
"For Cecence to be selected as finalists in the JEC innovation awards was reward in itself for the hard work of our team and commitment of our development partners Acro Aircraft Seating and FTI. To receive one of the highly coveted innovation awards in the public vote, and be acknowledged by so many members of the composite industry is truly exciting". Samantha Bunyan - Founder & Head of Industry Engagement, Cecence.
Cecence will be exhibiting on the UK Pavilion at AIX19 in Hamburg from April 2nd to 4th Stand 3UA10
