At this year’s Advanced Engineering Show Composites UK officially launched Hub Maps, which is an extension of its capabilities database.
There are approximately 1400 organisations on The Hub – all of the companies in the UK composites supply chain of which the Association is aware. Of these 250 have completed an online profile so far. Where an online profile has been published, you can click through to that organisation’s profile.
Composites UK is now offering a visualisation of this data via a new mapping tool, with three packages available providing different levels of access. These are:
Free: A map of all Composites UK Member companies which is available for everyone to view.
Basic: Published (all companies on The Hub with a completed profile) and member organisations by activity and market.
Professional: All 1400 organisations on The Hub split by Local Enterprise Partnership/Economic Development Agency regions, activity and market.
More maps will be added to the tool in due course with specific requests for mapped data being welcomed.
The mapping tool is especially useful to those in a sales role planning visits to companies in certain areas. It is also useful to event organisers researching regional demand and to those looking to form a local supply chain.
To ensure each company has its full data listed on The Hub companies must complete their profile. This can be done via www.compositesuk.co.uk/hub or by contacting Mark Humphrey, Data Officer, on email@example.com to be sent a login.
To complement this powerful tool, Composites UK is now offering its member companies the opportunity to sponsor The Hub and Hub Maps pages in the form of an online advert which will sit alongside these. As the database has been gathering speed to become the most used UK composites capabilities database this option provides an excellent opportunity for companies to maximise their online exposure. Members should contact the Association for more details.
