Cristex has announced its new CaD Design and CaM cutting machine, which the company says can keep pace with the innovative range of materials used today by its marine, aerospace, aviation, automotive and technical textile customers.
The company states that the machine has the ability to both cut and write onto a myriad of technical materials, with it also being able to provide state-of-the-art high-yield nesting software for the best optimisation of material and multitool cutting technology, giving it the capability to cut a diverse range of materials.
Cristex says it has processed composites for many industry sectors including, aerospace; defence; advanced armour; automotive and wind energy; and has experience of handling and cutting composite materials into tapes, panels, shapes from materials such as the following.
- Unidirectional Carbon Fibre;
- Woven Glass;
- Alutex; and
