Dura Composites, recent winners of the Queen’s Award for innovation, has launched new composite decking tiles which can transform outdoor spaces into stunning decking areas in minutes. The new product will allow businesses in the hospitality sector to temporarily increase usable space and establish outdoor hospitality seating areas which are compliant with social distancing.
One of the UK’s best-known decking suppliers, Dura Composites have used their expertise to launch brand new composite timber decking tiles, which requires no specialist tools or landscaping experience to fit.
With the expected announcement of a phased reopening for the hospitality sector expected any day now, Dura Deck Tile Resist can help businesses prepare any additional seating space they may need with minimal effort. The deck tiles can be used as a permanent decking solution on top of existing hardstanding areas, or to temporarily increase usable space.
Due to their unique interlocking design, the 605mm by 305mm rectangular decking tiles can be laid in minutes, without the need for a costly substructure or a professional landscaper. Delivered in handy boxes of six, they can be lifted and stored as required – so business owners needn’t worry about leaving them outside overnight or during periods of shutdown if they don’t want to.
Dura Deck Tile Resist is also perfect for overlaying an existing area where traditional decking will not fit due to the door threshold. As well as cafes, pubs, restaurants and pop-up food stalls, other businesses in the hospitality and leisure sector such as glamping venues and marquee hire companies can also benefit from this innovative decking solution.
The tiles replicate the look and feel of traditional decking. Made from recycled materials which never need painting or treating, the tiles are extremely durable and have an advanced anti-slip surface, so safe areas can easily be defined for both lounging or dining. They come in two attractive colours, Mahogany and Pebble Grey, to suit all commercial property styles.
Straight and corner edge ramps are also available to add a smooth transition and a beautiful finish from all angles.
Stuart Burns, Managing Director of Dura Composites, commented on the new launch: “We are so excited to launch such a versatile product that appeals to all sectors of the domestic and trade market and can transform any outside space in a matter of minutes.”
Burns adds that "Decking tiles are ideal for businesses who want to increase their usable outside space to comply with new social distancing requirements and can easily cover up ugly, aged concrete hardstandings or patios in need of some attention, providing a luxurious look that can be arranged and accessorised with ease."
