ELG Carbon Fibre, a market leader in recycled carbon fibre materials, continues to apply the highest quality and environmental standards throughout their organisation. The company has recently received the ISO 14001:2015 environment management system accreditation and maintained their BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and EN 9100:2018 quality management system accreditations across all materials, products, processes and services.
To meet the stringent criteria for ISO 14001:2015, ELG was required to identify all environmental aspects, associated impacts, and most importantly, what measures must be implemented to control these factors within the organisation.
ELG also compiled a Legal Register that included an Environmental Policy highlighting the company’s sustainability objectives. This declaration ensured ELG met and exceeded all their environmental obligations. These company-wide targets were delivered through an internal communications programme and tailored employee training.
Frazer Barnes, Managing Director of ELG Carbon Fibre, comments, “ELG is a processor and recycler of a valuable raw material so sustainability is part of our DNA. Securing the ISO 14001: 2015 standard demonstrates good practice throughout the organisation. I am immensely proud of our dedicated team that continually strive to develop first class systems and processes for our customers.”
