GALM - The largest automotive lightweighting conference series in the world is returning to Europe - bringing brand new insights into the latest breakthroughs in lightweight materials for conventional and electric vehicle ranges
The 6th Global Automotive Lightweight Materials Europe Summit (25-27 April 2017, Birmingham, UK) will focus specifically on the latest advancements in materials, including metals, composites and thermoplastics, reliable joining methods and new solutions for lightweighting of structural parts and components, as well as lightweighting that is specific to conventional and electric vehicle ranges.
The organisers say that the 2017 programme will focus on improving material selection strategies, optimising multi material architectures and introducing new design solutions to drive quality and cost effectiveness across lightweight vehicle lines. Attendees also will be able to assess first-hand the latest lightweighting technologies applied to the likes of the Aston Martin BIW DB11 in the exhibition area.
Expert insight will be provided by 30+ OEM Led presentations including Volkswagen, Daimler, Tata Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin, Bentley and many more. For the full speaker line-up, click here.
