As part of its UK and international sales strategy, global designer and manufacturer of marine exhaust systems, Halyard, has promoted James Gilliam to be its new Technical Sales Engineer.
Richard Summers, Managing Director of Halyard comments; “We are delighted to promote James. He has worked at Halyard for more than seven years and has a wealth of design, marine engineering and project management experience. We are confident that our global customers will benefit from James’ technical knowledge and expertise.”
James will work closely with Halyard’s customers, international distributor network and strategic partners. He will lead the project lifecycle from initial enquiry and design to commissioning and sea trials to deliver complex, bespoke systems to make engines quieter, improve working conditions for crew and reduce the environmental impact of exhaust emissions.
Commenting on his appointment James says, “I am really looking forward to applying my technical skills to working closely with customers in the UK and international commercial and leisure marine sectors. As part of my role, I’ll also be showcasing to other industries how Halyard’s expertise in composites can help improve their manufacturing processes.
Before he joined Halyard in 2008, James worked as Sales Manager for Ecosea, producers of protective and antifoul coatings for the shipping, oil & gas, offshore, power, water, aquaculture and marine industries and as part of the Sales team at Plastimo UK.
