From super-tall timber structures and using light as a material, to responsive building skins and more, conference set to inform, inspire and engage returns to London in April.
The conference agenda for Materials for Architecture 2018 is set to highlight some of the most innovative themes of the built environment.
A wealth of talks will examine topics ranging from super-tall timber structures, light as a material, bespoke fibreglass mouldings and architectural cladding systems, and responsive building skins, to auxetic, phase-change, and unbreakable materials in a programme designed to keep attendees at the cutting edge of design specification.
Speakers have been confirmed from architectural practices; PLP, dRMM, and Studio Seilern Architects, plus engineering practices; Buro Happold, Ramboll, and more. In addition, there will be speaking contributions from top universities, manufacturers, and industry associations, all around advancing the application of materials in architecture and construction.
Materials for Architecture will return to the ILEC Conference Centre, London from 25-26 April 2018. It will combine a conference programme, exhibition, CPD seminars, material galleries and evening reception. Innovation will be a clear theme across every part of the event.
