On 26th February 2019, Luca Viadana, McLaren Automotive’s Head of Government Affairs and Programmes, will present the company’s composites technology centre at the Association’s Yorkshire SME Roadshow.
The McLaren Composites Technology Centre (MCTC) opened in 2018 near Sheffield and will manufacture McLaren Automotive’s carbon fibre monocoque structures.
Claire Whysall, Communications Manager at Composites UK said; “We are delighted to welcome Luca Viadana to the programme for this event. The MCTC has brought much excitement to the Yorkshire region and it is wonderful to see their willingness to engage with SMEs in the area.”
The event takes place at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and has a half-day programme split into two sessions, firstly covering business support opportunities and secondly highlighting case studies from local companies such as MPM, Tufcot and Group Rhodes.
Registration is open via the Composites UK website. Although some of the programme is specifically tailored to companies in Yorkshire anyone can attend.
