Composites UK has announced that Nissan will join the speaker programme at its Automotive Sector Showcase event on 11th May at Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), Warwick.
Shanta Desai, Nissan’s Composites Development Lead, will discuss the challenges for composite materials in the high-volume automotive manufacturing industry.
The event, which is organised in partnership with WMG, also welcomes big automotive names such as Ford Motor Company and Jaguar Land Rover.
Claire Whysall, Communications Manager at Composites UK said; “The automotive showcase will drill down into the specific challenges for the automotive industry. Input from Ford, Nissan and Jaguar Land Rover will open up lines of conversation between them and SMEs who can work alongside them in increasing the use of fibre-reinforced polymer composites in high-volume vehicle production.”
Taking place the day before is the Composites UK Annual Conference which gives an overview of the UK composites industry as it currently stands, as well as opportunities for growth and threats to success.
Sponsorship opportunities for both events are still available, however table-top exhibition space has now sold out. For more information on the Annual Conference visit www.compositesuk.co.uk/ac2017. For the Automotive Showcase go to www.compositesuk.co.uk/autoss.
