The event is supported by the National Composites Centre, Heart of the South West LEP and the South Coast Marine Cluster working together as key stakeholders within the Great South West brand.
This half-day event, which follows on from a previous one held in March 2017, is being kindly hosted at the University of Exeter’s XFi Building on Friday 29th June.
In its first session delegates will learn about the business support opportunities available to the composites supply chain with speakers such as the Department for International Trade, Innovate UK, Growth Hub, GovGrant and Aro PR and Marketing. The second session sees case studies from local businesses showcasing their composite innovations and includes Leonardo, Wizz Consultancy, Sharp and Tappin and Frazer Nash Consultancy.
A table top exhibition area will support the event, allowing companies to further showcase their work.
Claire Whysall, Communications Manager at Composites UK said; “It’s great to be returning to the South West for this event as it seems to be particularly active in the composites supply chain.
“We’re extremely grateful to the teams at The Great South West partnership for their support with this event and their enthusiasm in bringing local composites companies together.”
Steve Hindley, Chair of both the Heart of the South West LEP and Great South West said: “The Great South West partnership brings together a partnership and coalition of stakeholders from the South West of England, working together to promote the great opportunities for increasing the prosperity of our businesses, our people and our communities. A key part of this is developing greater opportunities for trade in partnership with our businesses and the Department for International Trade. The composites sector is an important part of the South West economy and we are delighted to support this event.”
