SCIGRIP is exhibiting this week at the Composites Europe 2016 Expo in Dusseldorf from the 29th November - 1st December. The company is presenting its methacrylate (MMA) range that has been specifically developed to offer high strength bonding power in challenging transport applications.
As automotive, heavy truck and agricultural vehicle manufacturers embrace the use of DCPD in areas such as exterior body panels, SCIGRIP has responded with a range of assembly adhesive formulations for these hard to bond speciality plastics.
A key product for the company is SG300, a two component, 10:1 mix ratio, methacrylate structural adhesive that is suited to bonding composites, metals and thermoplastic substrates. The SG300 series is an advanced formula that meets the challenging demands of the transportation industry, including minimum surface preparation, primerless metal bonding and low read through.
Manny Tesfaye, SCIGRIP’s Director of Global Technical Services, will be presenting at the show on Thursday 1st December. The paper is titled ‘Advanced Bonding Solutions for Land Transportation Markets’ and will address the critical performance evaluation processes required to qualify adhesive systems for assembling materials typically found in bus, truck and rail applications.
