Unprecedented Early Demand for the 2018 Awards Dinner

Awards Dinner Attendees in 2017

Composites UK has welcomed an unprecedented early demand for bookings at its 2018 Industry Awards Dinner having allocated all tables on the front row already. Early bird rates will increase from 1st February.

The event takes place on 31st October 2018 in Birmingham to coincide with the Advanced Engineering Show – an exhibition at which the Association is one of the industry partners.

The Advanced Engineering Show, R-Tech Materials, MPM Limited, GRP Solutions, Cygnet Texkimp and Aro PR and Marketing have all taken advantage of the first round of early-bird booking rates to secure their places. Axillium has also become the first sponsor of the event.

Claire Whysall, Communications Manager at Composites UK said; “Assisted by our partnership with the Advanced Engineering Show, the Composites UK Industry Awards Dinner now sits synonymously with the exhibition. As the dinner takes place on the evening of the first day of the show we’ve seen a sharp increase in the number of exhibitors booking a table to thank their employees for their hard work on the stand or to treat longstanding customers.

“We’ve also seen a vast range of companies within the supply chain in attendance from SMEs to OEMs - over 75 different companies attended the 2017 event.”

The first round of early-bird booking rates ends on 31st January 2018. Currently a table of ten for a Composites UK member company costs £750 + VAT, and £950 + VAT for non-members. Single seat bookings are also welcome at £80 + VAT for Composites UK members and £100 + VAT for non-members.

As always, sponsorship opportunities surrounding the event are available. Claire continued; “We’ve added some new sponsorship opportunities for 2018 as the Dinner is an excellent way to introduce yourself to the composites industry or reaffirm your company as a market leader in your field.”

As for the Industry Awards, the nomination process will launch at the Composites UK Annual Conference on 18th April. Case studies on the 2017 winners – Cygnet Texkimp, FTI Group, Cape, Lentus Composites, Sigmatex, Hexion, Safran and MHI Vestas are available here.
