CSG Chairman: James Henderson, Atkins
Composites UK will be launching its Construction Sector Group (CSG) at the Construction Sector Showcase on 6th October 2015 at the Building centre, London.
The CSG will operate in a similar way to NGCC (Network Group for Composites in Construction) which was dissolved at its AGM in April this year, but with renewed focus and within the framework of Composite UK, giving members access to the wider benefits of Composites UK membership. The CSG provides a forum for discussion of common issues, working to find solutions to those issues as well as outward facing dissemination of best practice. Activites of the CSG will be overseen by a committee elected from within the group membership.
The CSG will organise focused promotional activities and events and provide a direct link to government through the Composites Leadership Forum and representation thereon through the Chair of the CSG. We will also be working closely with the construction lead within BIS to ensure future funding calls and strategy developments are relevant to composites and construction requirements.
In addition the CSG will oversee the competion and publication of the Bridge Design Guide currently being drafted.
Joining Fee: An additional 10% on top of your usual Composites UK membership fee (i.e. if you are a member at the 2 - 10 employees rate of £290 you will pay an additional £29 a year to be part of the sub-group).
