An exciting opportunity to join Busch UK / Vacuum Furnace Engineering for a driven and skilled Autoclave and Calibration Engineer.

Your challenges will include:

The main tasks for this role will include, but are not limited to:

Autoclave, Calibration & Service

  • Experience of calibrating process control equipment (electrical, temperature, pressure) essential.
  • A keen sense of customer service and ability to communicate at all levels is essential.
  • Experience of working in a UKAS Laboratory environment preferable.
  • Good fault-finding skills in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation (inc. PLC) systems preferable.
  • Previous experience of calibrating relative humidity would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working within pharmaceutical or GMP environments advantageous.

Planned Maintenance

  • Carry out servicing as directed in the product manual or schedule and keep true records of the work carried out.
  • Become able to identify faults found during the service visit that will require an additional visit to rectify.
  • Accurately identify all parts used and required such that replacements can be correctly ordered and fitted.
  • Maintain a stock of frequently used spares and consumables in the service vehicle.
  • Ensure that any potential problems are noted and passed on to be dealt with before causing breakdown.

Breakdowns

  • Attend site as directed by the Service Manager to rectify faults as necessary.
  • If the fault cannot be repaired immediately, accurately identify the parts required to do so such that they can be ordered correctly.

Travelling throughout the UK and occasionally world-wide providing high quality maintenance, breakdown, and calibration of composite process equipment. Process control equipment supported by our UKAS Accredited Laboratory No. 4338. Typical calibrations are of Temperature, Pressure, DC electrical ranges and Humidity. The role also requires fault-finding, adjustment and re-tuning of control systems as required.
