Broetje-Automation (BA) emerged from the long-established company August Brötje Maschinenbau und Heizungstechnik in 1979. Located in northern Germany BA developed automation technologies to join structural aircraft parts. Over the years BA developed to a market leader in drilling and riveting automation including large gantry machines as well as serial robot applications. Due to tightening of the requirements for accuracy and application forces, where off the shelf robots reached a physical limit, in 2015 BA introduced its own robot, the PowerRACe. These BA technology platforms served as a solid basis for Automation in composites manufacturing. In 2014 BA Composites was founded with the integration of MAG composites Europe. We appreciated several JEC awards for our STAXX composites machine family.
