Fluency Shortlisted for Composites UK Social Impact Award 2022—Head of Marketing Shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year

The Fluency Business Group (Fluency), specialising in marketing and communications for Advanced Materials and Advanced Engineering Sectors, has been shortlisted for the Composites UK Social Impact Award 2022. The category makes part of the Composites UK 2022 Industry Awards.

The Social Impact Award is presented to companies that have been recognised for their increased efforts in enhancing social and work environments, providing help and support to improving the lives of the business team and the local community. Fluency has been selected out of a host of entries from composite businesses across the United Kingdom as standouts in the area of social wellbeing.

In addition to the company’s nomination, Fluency’s Head of Marketing Jasmine Moore has also been shortlisted in the Composites UK Industry Award for Apprentice of the Year; a recognition of her outstanding growth and commitment to supporting Fluency and the composites industry.

As a commercial entity, Fluency commits in its initiatives to support employees and the local community. Passionately supporting mental health, the company has close links to the health
charity Mind, completing various fundraising activities each year. In 2022, Fluency’s Managing Director took part in a charity bike ride from London to the JEC WORLD convention in Paris that raised over £10,000 for Mind.

Local charities and organisations are supported through the lending of event equipment and marketing opportunities, while Fluency employees are catered with support towards family and personal needs. This includes flexible working, the encouragement to support personal charities, and the promotion of physical and mental welfare through walks, yoga, and meditation sessions. Fluency furthers its charity fundraising at the annual local Sick Children’s Trust Fundraising Dinner, which has previously received more than £2000 from the company’s sponsorship and raffle prize donations.

Fluency continues to promote careers in advanced materials and advanced engineering through student work placements within the business, along with outreaching to schools and universities with presentations and training programmes. The winner of the Social Impact Award will be announced at the Awards Dinner on 2nd November 2022 at the Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. This heralds the start of the Advanced Engineering show, which Fluency will be attending on Stand W152.
