The business dates back to 1931 with a long standing pedigree that currently employs approximately 100 people with skills in critical structure, aerospace and defence designs within low to mid volume manufacture. From composite design, prototyping, manufacture and in-service support through to test and certification, we do it all, end-to-end, start to finish. Distributor and stockists of advanced composite materials, including the Sicomin epoxies, Armacell’s PET foam and Hexcel multiaxial reinforcements. We also stock a range of Matrix-branded reinforcements that include woven cloths. With a 10,000 ft2 warehouse, most items are available ex-stock for next-day delivery.

MB Fibreglass

MB Fibreglass ( McConnell Brothers ) has traded in Northern Ireland for over 50 years. Originally opened by two brothers Laurence & Roy McConnell in 1972 in Newtownabbey, the business rapidly grew with manufacturing boat hulls, car parts and fibreglass sheets. With online expansion in 2009 the McConnell Brothers traded as MB Fibreglass, with an increased range of products and stock levels it rapidly established itself as one of the main online retailers for composite and moulding materials.
