We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Sales Executive to join our growing Sales & Marketing team at Base Materials. This is a field-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, building strong client relationships, and spotting new business opportunities.
About the Role
- Developing new business in the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
- Visiting clients, building relationships, and maintaining regular contact.
- Presenting our technical products in a confident and engaging way.
- Generating leads, responding to enquiries, and converting sales opportunities.
- Supporting smooth delivery by working closely with production and logistics teams.
- Attending trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
- Keeping CRM systems up to date and reporting regularly.
- Completing a structured Sales Development Programme.

Essential experience and skills
- A positive, driven, and energetic personality.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable experience and skills
- Experience in sales, account management, or customer service.
- Knowledge or interest in manufacturing or engineering.
- Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce.
- A relevant degree (e.g., Business, Engineering, Materials Science).
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours/week)
