Donaldson Motors Ltd (D/MO) was founded to develop innovative composite manufacturing processes. We work with clients all the way from concept design, DFM, prototyping and testing to volume production. Typically we build a completely bespoke manufacture process tailored to the product requirements. We focus on reducing takt time to create cost viable manufacture 100% in the UK. The focus of our manufacture processing is around hot pressing and resin infusion, paired with in house CNC trimming and assembly. Developing these capabilities has allowed us to manufacture at high volumes while keeping product quality at the forefront. We have found our niche in composite problem solving for a variety of industries. Predominantly Sporting goods, Aerospace, Bespoke automotive and Military applications. Our areas of expertise are: Composite manufacture process innovation. Ultra lightweight components. Thin laminates (0.2mm to 0.8mm) requiring a high quality surface finish. Hot press tooling design. Rapid turnaround component prototyping. High volume hot pressing and resin infusion. Bespoke surface textures. Composite CNC machining. Bonded assemblies with metallic or 3D printed plastic inserts. Material testing or dynamic assembly testing. Sustainable materials like hemp, flax and basalt paired with bio resin systems. Low cost production ready tooling.
