Biesterfeld Enters Into New Partnership With Infinici For Sustainable Innovation In Fiber Solutions In Europe And Turkey

Biesterfeld, one of the leading international distributors of specialty chemical products, pharma and food ingredients, and Infinici, a pioneer in sustainable fiber solutions are pleased to announce the beginning of a strategic, long-term partnership. Starting January 1, Biesterfeld will serve as the exclusive distributor of Infinici’s innovative nonwoven products in Europe and Turkey. The partnership represents a clear commitment to fostering circular value chains and sustainable material management – a pioneering model for the future of the composites industry.

Sustainable Products For Diverse Applications
The first product to be jointly marketed, Infinici Nonwoven Fabrics (NWF-650), is made entirely from recycled glass fibers, providing a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to conventional fiber products. With a CO₂ footprint reduced by more than 90%, Infinici sets new standards in sustainable material development. Each ton of NWF-650 saves an impressive 3 tons of CO₂ compared to traditional virgin glass fibers.

The areas of application are diverse, ranging from automotive, shipbuilding, and aerospace to wind energy and medical technology. The materials are specifically optimized for efficient series production processes such as RTM, vacuum infusion, GMT, and SMC and meet the highest quality standards, including IATF certification.

Promoting Circular Economy In The Composites Industry
“Our partnership with Biesterfeld marks a significant milestone for Infinici. Their extensive market expertise, technical application knowledge and broad network will help us to take the next step in our growth strategy” says Mark Ludwig, COO of Infinici AG. “Together, we can not only bring sustainable fiber products to a broader market but also promote circular economy through Biesterfeld’s innovative distribution logistics.”

A unique feature of this collaboration is the introduction of reverse logistics: Biesterfeld will not only distribute Infinici products but also collect glass and carbon fiber waste from customers. These residual materials will be processed by Infinici into new, high-performance glass and carbon fiber materials – a huge step toward closed material loops.

“Sustainability and innovation go hand in hand,” adds Dr. Johannes Martin, Market Manager Composites & Tooling at Biesterfeld. “We are excited to actively contribute to the development of sustainable solutions in the composites industry through this partnership.”
