In recent years, CODEM has focused on strengthening its senior management team, bringing in experienced leaders to guide future growth. The team includes Sharon Hewison as Operations Director, Rochelle Helliwell as Business Development Manager, Lee Churchill as Supply Chain Manager, and Bob West as Production Manager. Their combined expertise provides a solid foundation to support CODEM’s growth strategy.
In 2019, CODEM relocated to a purpose-built facility spanning 30,000 square feet, enabling further expansion. The company has invested in state-of-the-art machinery, constantly striving to improve its capabilities. CODEM is currently looking to acquire a new 5-axis machine, and upcoming facility upgrades will support the pursuit of ISO 14001 accreditation for Environmental Management Systems in the third quarter of this year.

• 2009: CODEM was formed, focusing on manufacturing build-to-print composites for Motorsport and Defence in a 2500 sq. ft facility.
• 2011: Relocated to a 5000 sq. ft facility to accommodate rapid growth.
• 2012: Expanded capabilities by adding machining and pattern-making capability.
• 2019: Relocated to a purpose-built 30,000 sq. ft facility designed for future expansion goals.
• 2020: Passed ISO 9001:2015 certification, demonstrating effective processes and personnel to deliver flawless products and services.
• 2020: Welcomed Sharon Hewison as Head of Operations and Lee Churchill as Supply Chain Manager to the senior leadership team.
• 2021: Named Medium Business of the Year – Highly Commended at the Telegraph Excellence Awards.
• 2023: Rochelle Helliwell joined as Business Development Manager, further strengthening the team.
• 2024: CODEM marks its 15th year in business, growing from a startup with five engineers to a team of over 40 professionals.

CODEM has recently collaborated with CALLUM, NVN, and Nyobolt on the all-electric CALLUM SKYE, an environmentally friendly high-performance vehicle. As a lead partner in its development, CODEM played a vital role in manufacturing, composite design, and spearheading sustainability efforts to align with the project’s environmental goals. The team selected the most sustainable materials available, achieving significant savings of over 12,000 kg CO2e for the CALLUM SKYE project.
