Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) will be a critical tool going forwards for assessing the carbon footprint of products and processes as we head towards a future, net-zero economy but many players in the composites industry still have limited understanding of what is involved in doing an LCA or how to use its output. If that’s you, then this 1-day “Introduction to LCA” course, focused on the composites sector, will be just right for you.
Over the course of a working day, this course will cover:
- A training session on OpenLCA software to enable you to calculate specific LCA values for individual products and processes
- What is LCA? And what isn’t LCA?
- History and ISO Standards
- Software and Databases
- Electricity grid impacts, Impact Categories and Climate Change
- Uncertainty
Tea/Coffee and Lunch provided
Training provider: Decerna Limited
