The Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3)

The Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3) is a professional membership organisation and registered charity, governed by Royal Charter. It connects professionals across materials, minerals, mining and related disciplines, supporting career development, professional registration and sustainability throughout the materials cycle. Through 22 Technical Communities across nine themes, IOM3 brings together specialists from mining to nanotechnology, biomaterials to packaging. One of these, the IOM3 Composites Group, provides a focus on fibre-reinforced composites while supporting wider innovation and sustainable practices. Members enjoy a full range of benefits, including access to events, mentoring, technical content and a global professional network. As part of their membership, they receive free online access to IOM3 journals, including Plastics, Rubber & Composites: Macromolecular Engineering, and over 70 additional titles from Sages portfolio.
