A skilled workforce is at the heart of every business, but the UK composites sector has faced a skills shortage of qualified and experienced personnel for over a decade. To survive and thrive, the UK composites sector must develop, grow, and maintain its own future workforce.

As Matt Bradney, Composites UK WDG Chair, stated, “We either do it or we don’t have an industry.”

On 4th September, Composites UK will launch its skills pledge to support member companies as part of a suite of activities to address this challenge.

Member companies signed up to the pledge are demonstrating their commitment to creating a robust talent pipeline by connecting with local education communities, promoting STEM education, and fostering a diverse and inclusive environment that attracts and retains top talent.
