We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Composites Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Production department, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of composite manufacturing processes. You will also act as a SME for the commercial team and support the proposal process.

What will you be doing? 🤔

Process Development:

  • Lead the development of manufacturing processes for composite components, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help integrate composite materials into new and existing products.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains in the composites manufacturing process.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles within the process to enhance overall production efficiency.

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to production teams to ensure a thorough understanding of composite manufacturing processes.
  • Act as a technical resource for troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.

What do we need from you? 💪

  • We appreciate relevant engineering qualifications, but we equally value practical hands on experience.
  • Proven experience in composites manufacturing, with a focus on process development and optimization would be highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency standard to be able to interrogate CAD files to provide support on Quotations, Design and Inspection.
  • Knowledge of quality control methodologies and standards.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.

We’ve completed multiple technology validation programmes (with the European Space Agency, Airbus, Jaguar Land Rover, BAE Systems, F1 Teams) and are in the process of executing on the first production opportunities with leading OEMs. We’re edging towards becoming a significant scale-up with growth plans that will see the business multiply in size over the next 2-3 years and expand operations into Europe and the US! 📈
