Kadant UK Limited, a subsidiary of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), has expanded its composite manufacturing services to include high-pressure pressing and laminating of long-length thermoset and thermoplastic composite boards across a broad range of materials and specifications.
Kadant UK’s enhanced capabilities enable the fast, reliable production of decorative bonded boards, structural composites, and specialty flat composite panels for UK manufacturers. The expanded services provide the pressing and laminating of glass, carbon, cotton, and aramid reinforcement fabrics, as well as specialty fiber composites. Advancements include the ability to process lengths over 100 meters, lightweight and specialty composite structures, and precision slitting for cut-to-size panels. An on-site R&D team provides collaborative development and testing.
Kadant UK’s composite services support manufacturers across transportation, aerospace, industrial, and construction sectors with scalable, high-performance solutions. The new offerings complement current flat-board molding thermoset composite services, such as low and high-temperature epoxy, vinyl ester, phenolic, and high-performance thermoplastics such as PPS, PEI, and PEEK.
