A standard Orbital Sander provides vibrations of 6.9 m/s² HAVS with maximum daily usage of that at 1.5 hours. The Tyrolit Power reduces the vibrations to 1.7 m/s² HAVS, enabling +8 hours trigger time in daily usage.
These vibrations mean that with conventional machines excessive and prolonged use can result in Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, a permanent and painful numbness or tingling in the hands. To reduce the risk the use of conventional machines is generally limited to a few hours a day or even less.
