Monday 13th October 2025, House of Commons, London (2-4pm)
**Members only event**
Following the success of our previous parliamentary receptions, Composites UK is pleased to invite you to our 2025 event, taking place on Monday 13th October 2025 at the House of Commons, sponsored by Baggy Shanker MP.
This year’s reception comes at a critical time, as the Government’s Industrial Strategy White Paper sets out a new vision for the future of UK manufacturing. With composites now formally recognised in both the Advanced Materials and Foundational Industries sections of the strategy, the sector’s role in driving growth, energy transition, and UK competitiveness has never been clearer.
Composites are a Strategic National Asset – vital to decarbonising aerospace, automotive, energy, defence and infrastructure, while creating high-value, skilled jobs across the UK. Our sector contributed £13.4 billion to the UK economy in 2023, supporting nearly 50,000 jobs.
As a valued member of Composites UK, your presence will help reinforce to Government and Parliament the importance of a manufacturing strategy that not only supports innovation, but also accelerates commercialisation, energy competitiveness, export support, and UK-based job creation.
We invite you to join fellow industry leaders, politicians, and stakeholders to make the case for a modern, balanced industrial strategy – one that ensures composites innovation is turned into UK-made products, productivity and prosperity.
Keynote address: Jacqueline Castle, CTO, Aerospace Technology Institute
