Distributor expands relationship with ExxonMobil in the Nordics
Hamburg, February 20, 2025 – Biesterfeld, one of the international leading distribution and service companies in the field of plastics, rubber and specialty chemicals, starts a new collaboration with ExxonMobil, one of the largest integrated fuels, lubricants and chemical companies in the world in the field of high-quality composites. With immediate effect the distributor will be responsible for marketing ProxximaTM resin systems in Norway, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark. This collaboration underscores Biesterfeld’s commitment to providing its customers with the best products and technical services for a more sustainable future in composite manufacturing.
A highly optimized product outperforming today’s solution
ProxximaTM polyolefin thermoset resin systems provide a high-performance alternative to traditional choices, such as epoxy, vinyl ester and polyester. Designed to adapt to conventional processing methods, Proxxima ™ resin systems deliver a step change in production economics by leveraging Nobel Prize-winning catalyst technology. The resulting solutions challenge traditional trade-offs, delivering lighter weight materials with a superior balance of strength and toughness.
In addition, Proxxima™ resin systems have durable parts that last longer on average than many traditional thermoset resins and are made with less than half the GHG emissions than many traditional thermoset resins on a cradle-to-gate basis.*
