Twelve Composites UK member companies have been approved as host organisations under the UK’s expanded Global Talent visa scheme, reinforcing the strength of the UK composites sector as a world-leading destination for research, innovation and advanced manufacturing.
Announced today by the UK Government and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), the expansion enables more than 100 of the UK’s most innovative research-intensive businesses to support exceptional international researchers and engineers through the Global Talent visa route. The initiative aims to attract world-class expertise to the UK, helping to accelerate innovation, strengthen research capability and support long-term economic growth.
The following Composites UK members have been approved as Global Talent visa host organisations:

- GKN Aerospace Services Limited
- Hexcel Composites Limited
- Leonardo UK Limited
- Lineat Composites Limited
- Loop Technology Limited
- Pentaxia Ltd
- SHD Composite Materials Ltd
- Sigmatex (UK) Limited
- Victrex PLC
As approved host organisations, these companies will be able to support eligible international researchers through the Global Talent visa endorsed funder route, making it easier to recruit highly skilled individuals from around the world to undertake research and innovation in the UK. The scheme provides greater flexibility than many other immigration routes and is designed to help businesses access the specialist expertise needed to remain globally competitive.
The recognition of twelve Composites UK members highlights the sector’s significant contribution to advanced materials research and innovation. From developing next-generation composite materials and manufacturing technologies to supporting aerospace, defence, renewable energy, automotive and other high-value industries, these businesses are helping to position the UK at the forefront of global innovation.
The announcement also supports the ambitions set out in the UK’s Industrial Strategy to strengthen the country’s research and development capabilities and attract the world’s brightest talent to work with innovative UK businesses.
