KoverTek And Gurit Announce Distribution Partnership To Grow Industrial Manufacturing Reach

KoverTek is pleased to announce a new distribution partnership with Gurit. Together, the two companies will expand their reach into the industrial manufacturing markets, particularly land transport (including automotive and rail) and renewable energy.

Gurit is a long-established name in advanced composite materials, with a portfolio spanning epoxy resin systems, structural adhesives, prepregs and core materials. KoverTek brings a technically led approach to composites and resins supply, backed by deep materials knowledge and close relationships with UK manufacturers. The partnership pairs Gurit’s product range with KoverTek’s local stock, technical support and customer service.

Where the partnership will focus
Land transport. Automotive, rail, bus, coach and commercial vehicle builders are under pressure to cut weight, reduce emissions and shorten production cycles. Epoxy systems and structural adhesives let manufacturers bond dissimilar materials, replace mechanical fasteners and build lightweight, durable structures, from body panels and cab components to interior modules and rail vehicle assemblies.

Renewable energy. Wind blade and component manufacturing depends on high-performance epoxy infusion resins, adhesives and core materials. The same technologies serve tidal and wave energy structures, nacelle and hub components, and the growing hydrogen and energy storage sector.

Other industrial markets. The partnership will also serve a wider set of sectors where epoxy and structural bonding deliver performance, including:
• Construction and infrastructure: composite cladding and façade panels, structural strengthening and rehabilitation, bridge and walkway components
• Tooling and mould making: epoxy tooling systems, pastes and boards for patterns, moulds and jigs
• Chemical processing and storage: tanks, pipework, ducting and corrosion-resistant structures
• Offshore: Structural assemblies and infrastructure, pipeline and repair.
• Defence and security: lightweight armoured and protective structures, and shelters
• Industrial equipment and machinery: guards, housings, enclosures and bonded assemblies
• Aerospace-adjacent and general engineering: non-critical structures, ground support equipment and prototyping
• Sport and leisure: high-performance bonded and laminated structures

What customers can expect
Manufacturers will have access to Gurit’s epoxy and structural bonding technologies through KoverTek, with:
• Technical guidance on resin, adhesive and core selection
• Support with process development, from hand lay-up to infusion and bonding
• Responsive UK-based supply and logistics
• Help moving from prototype to production volumes

“Comment from Mark, Joint Managing Director of KoverTek, on the value of the partnership and the benefits it will bring to customers.”
• This is an excellent addition to KoverTek’s speciality composites and structural bonding range and we are excited to expand our offering and product know how into new and existing customer partnerships.
