Composites Evolution Introduces Bio-Based Version Of Its Popular EvopregⓇ EPC300 Prepreg System

Composites Evolution is delighted to announce the launch of a bio-based version of its popular EvopregⓇ EPC300 medium-temperature cure epoxy prepreg system.

This development is part of Composites Evolution’s core mission to improve the sustainability of composite manufacturing and will appeal to customers needing to meet environmental targets or just wanting to ‘do their bit’ to help protect the environment.

Bio-based EvopregⓇ EPC300 has the same processability, performance, and aesthetics as standard EvopregⓇ EPC300 but with the benefit of 20% renewable raw material content.

Bio-based EvopregⓇ EPC300 can be supplied with industry-standard carbon, glass, and aramid fabrics, or with Bcomp’s ampliTexⓇ flax for an even more sustainable composite. Composites Evolution’s market-leading customer service, flexible order quantity, and short lead times come as standard.

Composites Evolution has been developing and supplying natural composite materials for more than 10 years, with world-leading bio-derived resin systems and flax fabrics that improve both sustainability and product performance.

Other sustainable prepregs in Composites Evolution’s product range include EvopregⓇ PC502, a near-100% bio-derived alternative to phenolic for applications where fire performance is a critical requirement, and the EvopregⓇ ampliTexⓇ range of natural flax prepregs which is used widely in automotive and motorsport applications to reduce weight, vibrations and CO2 emissions.

Composites Evolution’s environmental mission will continue with plans to add yet more sustainable prepreg solutions to its product range over the coming months, so watch this space!
