EXPO-NET® Danmark A/S (Stand C15) is showcasing its range of custom extruded thermoplastic resin flow meshes for vacuum infusion from 4-5 Sept 2024 at the UK International Composites Summit (ICS). The company has an established customer base of wind energy and marine OEMs and Tier 1 moulders of large FRP components and finished parts.
EXPO-NET resin flow meshes are 100% recyclable, specified to ensure reliable and consistent high quality moulding of fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) and sandwich design composite parts, and as performance and quality enhancing processing aids when vacuum infusing large, complex shapes.
Customers benefit from EXPO-NET’s technical knowledge and infusion expertise to successfully develop new products, being supported during development trials to get the exact combination of flow mesh products needed for individual mouldings; up to four different ‘custom made’ resin flow mesh grades can be used in specific areas of larger, more complex infused parts to increase productivity and to avoid premature resin hardening and air voids.
ICS visitors will be able to discuss their commercial and technical needs with sales representatives from the UK and Denmark and find out more about the different types of infusion meshes available.
Production and design engineering visitors looking for technical data to improve infusion consistency and moulded part performance can pick up EXPO-NET’s latest vacuum infusion technical processing guide, which compares the different resin flow mesh grades offered. The processing guide was developed by EXPO-NET to help customers to better understand the rheological impact of specific flow mesh grade types to match the specific resin grade, laminate design and shape of the FRP part being infused. The graphs and data in the guide helps customers select the right combination of mesh products in different areas of a mould to optimize vacuum infusion resin flow control, improve process predictability and ensure part quality.
EXPO-NET is a highly responsive supply partner which can rapidly alter custom made flow mesh products as needed, as well as holding key safety stocks for strategic customers. The head office, manufacturing, engineering, R&D and main warehousing facilities are located in Hjørring, Denmark. The 12.000 sq. m site is ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 certified.
