Composites UK Announces Sarah Black-Smith as Keynote Speaker for Industry Awards Dinner 2025

Composites UK is delighted to announce that Sarah Black-Smith, General Manager of Motion Control at Siemens Digital Industries, will be the keynote speaker its Industry Awards Dinner 2025. The event is scheduled for 29th October 2025 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, coinciding with the Advanced Engineering Show.

With over a decade of experience at Siemens, Sarah has held several operational positions, including leading the Head of Factory Operations at Siemens Digital Industries factory in Congleton. In her current role, she leads the Motion Control business in Siemens Digital Industries. ​

Sarah is a passionate advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and actively supports initiatives aimed at encouraging more women to pursue careers in manufacturing and engineering, particularly in her role as the Chair of the Women in Manufacturing Industrial Advisory Board. Her dedication to fostering inclusive work environments and promoting diversity within the industry has been widely recognised. ​

The Composites UK Industry Awards Dinner celebrates excellence and innovation within the UK composites sector, highlighting outstanding achievements across the industry, from groundbreaking technologies to sustainable solutions driving the sector forward and the people behind them. Held at the National Motorcycle Museum on the first evening of the Advanced Engineering Show, the event is an opportunity to connect with peers and stakeholders shaping the future of composites. ​

Early-bird rates for the event are currently available, with fees set to increase after 29th July 2025. Composites UK members can book a table of 10 for £999 + VAT, while non-member rates start at £1710 + VAT. Individual seats are also available.
