Blue Leaf Composites is hiring a Graduate Engineer to support a range of composite design, manufacturing process, and software development projects. These include the design of composite structures including wind blades and the development of digital toolsets to support manufacturing and quality management processes.
Working within a small, experienced team, you’ll contribute to structural analysis, design-for-manufacture activities and software development across multiple project phases. You’ll also support documentation for client presentations, supplier onboarding, and internal reviews—helping translate technical requirements into practical, buildable solutions.
This is a hands-on role suited to engineers who enjoy solving real-world problems and developing their skills across both design and manufacturing domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of composite structures, including wind blades and tooling systems.
- Create and refine 3D CAD models, drawings, and FEA simulations for performance and compliance.
- Contribute to digital toolset development for manufacturing and prototyping.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Support documentation for client presentations, supplier onboarding, and internal reviews.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Engineering or a similar related discipline.
Skills
- Strong communicator with fluent written and spoken English.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate exposure to composite design or manufacturing industry experience.
- Software development and system design experience, preferably using Python.
- FEA experience, preferably using Ansys.
- Experience with prototype builds or scale model validation.
- Clear communicator, able to distil technical detail for diverse audiences.
